The proximity to the train station was a major plus. It made it super convenient for exploring the city and catching our trains. Another great feature was the traditional ryokan experience. We loved sleeping on the futons and enjoying the tatami floors. And the separate washrooms and showers were surprisingly convenient.
The rooms were a bit outdated and could use some renovations. The noise from other rooms was also quite noticeable and disruptive at times.

We loved the hotel, its good rooms and breakfast. There is café Kura Kura, set 300 meters walk away. 5 min walk from a metro station. The museum of kyoto access was convenient, within 10 minutes walk...
All good.

Best location in Kyoto! Just a few minutes from the train station, it was perfect for getting around the city. the traditional tatami mat room was a great experience, and the public bath on the ground was my favorite part of the hotel. the breakfast was delicious, with a variety of Japanese dishes to try. And the friendly staff made us feel welcomed. Worst part was the cold temperature of the room and the tiny bathroom. But with the heater on, the room quickly warmed up. And the bathroom was not a big deal since we spent most of our time exploring the city. I had a great xmas stay at this hotel! .
